Two weeks ago, some of our team members attended the annual Advanced Digitalisation meet-up in Gothenburg. It was a full day of inspiring speakers, group discussions, networking, and knowledge exchange.

What is Advanced Digitalisation?

Advanced Digitalisation is an industry-driven research and innovation programme. It works in partnership with a clear vision that Sweden should continue to be a leading innovation and research nation. They aim to join forces to help develop the next generation of digital solutions here in Sweden, at a faster pace. They also want to promote efforts based on relevant and current challenges, thereby promoting mobilisation, collaboration, learning and broad synergies. You can learn more on their website: https://www.avanceraddigitalisering.se/

Why did we participate?

We have a project funded by Vinnova within the Advanced Digitization Program together with Ahlsell and GS1. ProTrack aims to create consolidated and validated digital product passports in an automated way, recording key lifecycle events. For our chosen product—work trousers—this includes tracking events like washing, mending, and other maintenance activities. You can read more about our Vinnova project in the link, ProTrack

Key Takeaways from the Meet-up

It was inspiring to hear about other Advanced Digitalisation projects that also have projects dealing with digital product passports. Gave us an insight into how they have solved the technical bits and what challenges they encountered during the projects.

Beyond the technical aspects, the event showcased a variety of projects—both large and small—each tackling unique challenges. The discussions and networking opportunities allowed us to connect with new potential collaborators, which could be beneficial in the future.

Overall, it was an inspiring and productive event that broadened our understanding of digitalisation efforts in Sweden.
